| Why do some people seem not to know how to speak English, although it may be
their primary language? Online as well as in the real world, it seems to be a trend or fad to speak like an idiot and use prodigious amounts of slang terms in everyday speech. This is a VERY annoying practice and I'm sure many people share my frustration when they are online and half of the time, if not more, they are unable to understand what the hell someone is trying to say. I understand that sometimes it's actually someone who does not regularly use English, but whenever I see a profile picture of a white person and their text is filled with slang and 'txt-talk', I want to kill someone (usually them). How do you feel about this practice, and how often do you, personally, encounter it?      |
