Please give me the answer for this.

Explain what the paseo is and tell what purpose it serves in spanish-speaking countries.

The paseo is that age old custom where young people gather in the central square of the village. Girls walk one way, boys walk the other, so they see each other twice on each circuit. It's the time for a little mild flirting, a little eye contact, a few smiles - because in Latin countries, young men and women don't date as they do in European countries.
