Help..How are the American and French revolution similar, and how are they different?

I have to write an essay about that, please give me some ideas to start with, and all the information you know.
Thanks

I believe the similarities are tat they both stared because of economic reasons. Both were tired of royalty and wanted more power to the people. the differences is that America was a colony and they decided to have democracy instead of the parliamentary system as the English do.
The french revolution , of course, was very inward and bloody . They killed the king and his family. And they ended up with a republic.
While after the American revolution caused a "spiritual" re vial, the sentiment in France was very anti-traditional.
I can't think of anything else , hope this helps!
