What are theGeorgia Homeschooling Laws and regulations?

Ive done some research on the matter, but only to a certain extent. My Mother in law home schooled all 3 of her children. One of which was my husband. We have two children of our own. One is starting School this year. My question is, Are there any laws that say that a Grandparent cannot homeschool their grandchild? Does Homeschool regulation REQUIRE that it be the parents of the child to be the instructor? I have a smaller child at home. I dont think that I would have the necessary time or patience to homeschool one child while trying to wrangle my two year old as well. She needs one on one undevided attention of an instructor. With the scenes and stories that have unraveled in Public schools the past couple of years, we would not even consider sending either of our children to one, and Private acadamys are sooo expensive. help me out guys, what can be done?

If your inlaws aren't able to help you with homeschooling, yet you still want to do it, I would encourage you to give it a try.

I homeschool with a 4 year old and 1 year old underfoot and it isn't that bad. Older elementary students can complete much of their work independently, and it doesn't take nearly as long to complete as it does in public schools. In addition, the one on three attention your child gets at home is much better than the one on 12 (or 20) she would get in school.

You can also be creative and homeschool during naptimes or periods of quiet play. There are many ways to arrange schedules for teaching multiple children. My aunt is a homeschooling mother of 12.

I just want to encourage you that if you really want to homeschool, there are ways to make it work even if your inlaws can't help.

Does not have to be the parents, although I highly recommend staying actively involved in your child's education no matter what route you take.
