| Are there any laws for that state of Virginia that say who can or can't sign... ...for a minor to get a piercing? I was wondering if in the state of Virginia there are any laws stating who can or can't sign for a minor to get a piercing? Does the person signing have to be the minors legal guardian or can anyone over 18 sign for them? If someone other than your legal guardian signs, do they have to have your guardians consent?      |

| If a state requires any signature, it would have to be a person who has legal authority to consent for a minor. That would ONLY be a parent or guardian. If the guardian consents, then obviously they would be the one to do the actual signing. The concept is legal authority to make decisions relating to a minor. |
