Im being harassed & suspended from work bcuz of my friendship w/a whistleblower.Do

The term whistle blower, was designed to make outcasts and scapegoats out of those doing the right thing. My take on this is the ramifications depend on your industry or trade. I find the term "ethical business", especially where profit is involved, an oxymoron. You're probably a threat to their capacity to make money, to do business in a low ethical way. Laws should cover you but remember this is the business world so their pocket is deeper and most employers love to say they don't keep files on you but infact they do.

whistleblower laws cover me My employer accused me of providing a whistleblower info- who is my friend. I was accused of being a mole & directing other insiders, hacking the company network for data & questioned on comments & remarks I made about two employees who are involved in the case-comments had nothing to do w/the case.

The Blower has damaging evidence against my company, who has agreed to settle out of court to avoid larger losses. It is their belief that w/so much evidence against them, an employee has been aiding the Blower. I was accused of being that person solely based on my friendship & frequent emails to the Blower- nothing about the case & emails stopped before the suit was filed. It was demanded that I provide all info, assistance, & tactics used to aid the Blower's case.

I was suspended w/out pay until further notice & pending an investigation. Do whistlerblower laws cover me? All allegations are false. I feel this is retaliation for not providing info that could aid their defense. Help!
