Whats the best legal way to have someone take over a car payment ?

I have a 2005 Chevy Truck. My employer cut my pay and hours so this caused an impact on my financial obligations. Therefore I have a close friend who loves my truck and offer to take over my car payment. How do I go about this? I know I have to get this agreement in writing and notorize and but whats else do I have to do? Any ideas or advise will help
