do you what it to go back to how it was when it was only done if the mums life was in danger ,when ppl used stuff like coat hangers to bring on bleeding, and they would go to the hospital and they would get the abortion done if they made it to the hospital and did not bleed to death

But I guess for others it just depends on what side of the fence you stand on.

A fetus has a heart beat at 6 weeks into gestation.
A fetus also has a soul the moment concieved (here comes my persecution..)

Funny how in most, if not all states, abortion is completely legit, but a husband, boyfriend, complete stranger kicks a pregnant girl in the stomach and kills her unborn fetus.. he can and most likely will be be charged with some sort of crime or murder. But it's okay because as long as the woman made the decision herself it doesn't constitute murder? Because it's her body? The same body she didn't respect enough to protect? There are other nasty consequences to having sex then just pregnancy.

Again, it depends on the side you stand on.

If you are a believer, abortion is intolerable. It's not our body and we don't have the right to make the choice. There is nothing greater then life and the reverence for life.

If you aren't a believer, it's all irrelivant and you don't have to answer for it anyways.

because alot of people treasure human life and believe abortion is murder

if you dont want children, you should be protecting yourself or refraining from sex

failing that there is the option to adopt the child

and i have never met a woman who has had an abortion and it not effected them physically or emotionally later in life

Some people believe that unborn babies are people, and that it is a crime called "murder" to kill innocent people. About the coat hangers: if a murderer shoots himself with his gun as he is trying to shoot his intended victim, is it really a reason to give him sympathy?

No, I do not want to back to the bad old days, and agree that if the baby is a result of rape or Mother's life is in danger then a termination is allowable, but I believe that even pre-born people have rights, and that their mother's should not be allowed to terminate because the pregnancy is inconvenient at that time.
If a child is not wanted. the woman should make sure precautions are taken before sex, either by herself or her partner. Unwanted children can always be adopted - there are plenty of people out there desperate for a child of their own, but with all the abortions, it is getting harder and harder to adopt.
