I am in Maine. Is there a statute or law to show a person has be competent to

break a contract? The legal binding contract is marriage. I'm trying to save my husband not my marriage.I am in appeal pro se and I requested from day one a competency hearing,thus the appeal. I need a statute or law. I've researched but only found Dusky v United States.
