Is there a law against working eight straight days in a row? Particularly for part-time grocery stock personel?

I know of know country where it is illegal. The system works that you usually the employer is required to give you a day off if you request (if your job casual they might just stop giving your the hours you need if you make trouble).

Usually the laws require payment of overtime or even payment of overtime.

Finally, you might simply say yes to the 8 day schedule, but then go to your manager, apoligise and explain there is something you need to do, like take your grandmother to the doctor, fight ninjas to stop a politcal coup from enslaving the United states or something like that.

The only relevant law is that you are required to be paid for all hours worked.
