Navy vs. Air Force? are the Navy recruiters being honest?

tomorrow is decision day for me. I was at the recruiters offices today for hours. Both branches are courting me heavily. Even the army is trying. I have a bachelors but the GPA disqualifies me for OCS. So i am enlisting. I would go in both the Navy and Air Force with an e-3 rank. The Navy guys have offered me the advanced programs where i would sign up for 6 years and go to 1 year+ schooling and would be a e-5, or so they say. They are really trying to get me to want Crypto Tech CTI. I am more interested in IS intelligence specialist. They said that Navy housing is almost as good as AF and as an e-4 i would be able to live off base 80% of the time.This info is contrary to alot of the things that i have heard on this site. They said that quality of living is great in the Navy. Their main sticking point is that in the AF promotions are so slow, and in the military promotions are everything.
