| How to be a Marine Corps Drill Instructor? What are all the requirements and what is the age limit as in, How old can you be before you can't be a DI. By The Way, what can Drill Instructors do to recruits in Boot Camp? I saw in Jarhead that his DI slammed his head into a blackboard.      |

| You must first become a Marine, graduate boot camp, get a few years under your belt and maintain a good record. Then you can apply for Drill Instructors School. They will review and interview you to determine if you have what it takes. As to what they can do, well there are stories and there is reality. They are not like they were years ago, they have had to tame down some, but still, it's like Las Vegas, what happens at recruit training, STAYS at recruit training. |
