Why does Navy/Marine Corp call these "Air Force Pushups"?

I was eating lunch at a park and I saw a bunch of Navy/Marine Corp Reservist doing stretches.

On one stretch, they lie flat, stomach towards the ground; then lifted just their upper body and I think they were stretching their abs and upper back. They named it "Air Force Pushups". why is it named this? All of the pushups I've seen are just regular pushups like "Diamond, regualar, and hands spread apart pushups".
I apologize if I offended any Airmen here. I seriously didn't know.

I like all branches of the Armed Forces.

It's called ribbing. All services makes jokes about the other services, it's just something we do to stay sane. In this instance the joke is that that's how all Airmen do push-up's. But to be honest it's wrong. We do regular push-up's. Look up the Air Force Physical Training program sometime and you'll see.

Not sure, but my best guess is that they are mocking the Air Force. A lot of military members will give Air Force men and women a hard time because of certain stereotypes; mainly that the Air Force is the most "comfortable" branch to join.
