...recognized as a veteran. No job/educa I've asked for assistance with education. Applied for jobs thinking well I've served my country(maybe not war time,but I still gave this government almost 10 yrs of my life. All I ask is to be given the same respect and thanks by assisting to better my life and career. Seems like out of sight out of mind is the government's way of saying thank you.I feel for those who did serve in a campaign. They don't/can't get much help either. What's going on? Are we that much of insignificance?

You has education benefits when you separated.

Like all veterans, you have 10 years from the time you separate, to use your educational benefits.

That is, unless you choose not to participate in the VEAP program while you were a Marine.

Then it is your own fault, for not signing up for educational benefits.

You also have every other veteran benefit that veterans today have.

VA loans, VA health care( if you meet the requirements )

The only benefit you do not have, is veterans perference, reserved for those who served in a combat zone.

But every veteran today, does not get veteran preference, unless they served in a combat zone.

So exactly what do you think you didn't get that you deserve ?
