Which would be better for me? Marine Corps or U.S. Army? I want to know which branch would be better for me, I am interested in combat field ie infantry or spec ops as my MOS, and possibly hope to be an officer, but i dunno which would be good for me, i have no interest in the U.S.A.F, or navy/coast guard, that key factors of what I want is the I want to be something that is elite, strong, and proud, as well as very effective. i hope that is enough details,

From what you write is sounds like the Marines are your choice. The training is more rigorous than the Army too. Be prepared to have drill seargents yell in your face and long, physically demanding days in training. But, once, you are done you will be proud of your choice. One more thing, if you remain in the military for 20+ years, you will get a paycheck for the rest of your life plus any possible benefits. Twenty-years go by faster than you think and having the check evry month helps. Good luck!

Alriht.. my husband is in the marines. as a 0331... Infintry machine gunner... My brother is army.. infintry... MARINES HAVE BETTER TRANING, MORE MORAL, AND MORE REGULATIONS.. they are more strict,... both are overrrated.. I say marines... personal experiance tells me, if you want more training, join the marines... My brother tells me army has lost all rules, and spirit... they are not how they used to be.. they let anyone in, they dont have rules.. they just arent proud anymore... infact, my brother is swiching to the marines! Now my husband hated the marines for the first 2 years. He thought he would like it, he didnt... I mean he hated it!!!!! so warning you... you will probably hate it too for the first 2 years... but come the 3rd year my husband loved it!!!! he still does!!! hope this helps a bit...
