| What area of the military would be considered the most elite: army, marine, marine corp, navy , navy seals, etc. That would depend on how you want to define elite. As in best training, exclusive group. The Seals have to the best training program - it is tough both mentally and psychically and all all you have to do is ring the bell and your done. That bell is the thing that makes the Seals the toughest. They can quit anytime no questions asked. Most exclusive would be the Navy cook who gets to cook for the president on Air Force One or one of those soldiers guarding the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier. |

| What area of the military would be considered the most elite: army, marine, marine corp, navy , navy seals, etc. Well that is a tricky question to answer, first do you mean elite by the amount of special forces there are in each particular branch, or do you mean most elite by the amount and intensity of training that the forces get? First in the amount of special forces per branch the Army leads the way with the 160th special operations aviation regiment, with units all over the world, the army rangers, specifically trained infantry men with hooned skills, the green berets, or special forces, which is like a combination of rangers and navy seals, pathfinders, which basically are trained infantryman who go in secluded places or buildings ins small teams, lastly in the army you have the delta force, which (wink wink) doesn't exist. Then in the Marines you have the recon, which is basically a sniper/spotter team which is trained to be one of the best sharpshooters in the world. In the Air Force, you have PJs which is the same as an ordinary airborne qualified soldier in the Army, which is not elite forces, just a jump shool. Lastly you have the Navy SEALs, which I personally would have to say is the most physically, and mentally demanding schools in the military. |
