Marines Question MEPS?

My recruiter emailed me today telling me that he has me an Infantry contract ready to go. When I first talked to him before he said I would need to pick 3 jobs. I emailed him back after he told me he had the contract, asking him if I would still need to pick two more jobs. He said no I will go to MEPS with an Infantry contract in hand so there is no need to list my second choice.. Is this true? Or am I going to end up with an open contract? Thanks!

Most people go to MEPS with a open contract. You can go to MEPS with a choice! Although this is true, nothing is confirmed unless they have openings.....

The only way to tell is to read your contract. If it says that you'll be slotted as an infantryman, then you'll be slotted as an infantryman. If you're not sure, don't sign it, but make sure you take the time to read it at MEPS, and don't be afraid to walk out if it doesn't have what you want in it. Infantry isn't a hard MOS to get guaranteed.

This sounds correct..Just do this..When your recruiter hands you your infantry contract READ IT..Read where it says INFANTRY 0300 MOS..If it doesnt say this on that contract then ask questions and DO NOT accept any other offer if it is not what you want..If you go to MEPS to sign a contract just READ IT BEFORE you sign it..Dont let anyone say you can read it later or that we will take care of that later on..If your contract is not what you want then DO NOT sign it and dont let them say you have to sign it..Always remember that you are the one in charge and not them...Never ever let him bully you into anything..Your in charge not him.
