Chris J has a spectacular aura about
Am I too old for Navy OCS and naval aviation?

I just turned 29 this month, I'm in excellent shape, have perfect vision, and I have 4 quarters of school left in order to get my BS in accounting. I excel in mathematics and my GPA is in the mid 3 range, but my transcripts look a little flaky (i.e., some withdraws, a few F's, but lots of A's, and small gaps in attendance -- I have to work and pay my way) I did 3 years active duty in the Army infantry. Do I have a chance? Is there anything I can do before I graduate that relates to the application process that will increase my chances?

of course you have a chance, the Navy needs some bait for their wars in iraq and afghanistan, so you shouldn't worry.

too old for OCS..NO. too old for Aviation: I think so. they may or may NOT give you credit for the Army time, which would bring you in under the age cut off.

HOWEVER..since you have not yet graduated, I suspect your chances of Aviation are about zero, especially since your degree is in accounting. they will more than likely offer you a Staff Corps job( Supply) rather than a Line job. depending on how much higher Math(Calc, etc) you have, you could be a good candiate for IWO or INTEL as well.
