Why donate money to charities like Toys For Tots when there's charities for...?

Why donate money (note I did not say already purchased toys) to charities like Toys For Tots when there's charities for starving children who don't have FOOD, much less toys.

Yes. Children should have toys but which is more important? Which should come first? A child having a toy or a child starving?
Feed the children Dr. Phil.? I don't get it. I don't watch his show.
