| Marine Corps and World Of Warcraft?
I leave for bootcamp July 7th and am wondering when I am out of bootcamp am I allowed to have a laptop and play wow at night and stuff. Im a gamer and dont want to lose this privelage. Do other serviceman and women play games at night or on liberty? All feedback welcome. The reason I ask is that WoW is my hobby and Im excited about the expansion. I dont want to find out later that you cant game during free time in the Corps

Get a grip on life! Your not allowed to bring a laptop and your recruiter will provide you a list of authorize items that you will bring. Its not called freetime but SDI time and this time is for you to write a letter home and also prepare your uniform for the next day of training. Earn the Eagle,Globe and Anchor first then you will allowed to play with your laptop!

yea, you can do whatever you want. your freetime is your freetime, as long as you arent cooking meth, no one cares... you you may take a little shit from guys at work for playin RPGs all day, but hey, if its what you enjoy then fine.

You're not going to have much time for it, but there's no prohibition, resources and facilities providing. There are places where you're not going to be able to charge up a laptop, places where you're not going to be able to connect to the 'net, and many, many times where there'll be no time available. Also, a laptop is kinda fragile, and also subject to theft. However, I don't see any reason why you could not continue to play, a least part time, circumstances permitting. *edit* He's talking about AFTER bootcamp, if you'd read everything, folks. |
