| Why do options bid and ask vary after hours when the options market is suppose to be
closed? I have had situations where my orders executed after the close of business, yet I can't place new orders in after COB. People keep on talking about the international market, but if you buy an option in the CBOE and they close at 4PM EST then the trading has to stop, yet it doesn't. If an ordinary investor can't make order after this point then who is and why is it legal? This only happens for ~15minutes after close, but should it happen at all? |

because not all markets are closed, the market is a 24hour place. when american markets close, asian and australiasian markets open and then when they about to close, european and african markets open and before they close, american markets open..... etc. remember that u.s. markets also look at how the asian markets are doing and vice versa... |
