What's up with T-Mobile having the nastiest phones on the market?

I'm with T-Mobile and was eligible to upgrade my phone about 6 months ago. But they never get one single phone that I like. Verizon gets in the Blackberry Pearl 8130, the Voyager etc., AT&T hast the iPhone and the lg shine, and even carriers like alltell and sprint seem to have cooler phones. T-Mobile still runs around with these nasty sidekicks that only kids want. Will they ever carry better phones? And why are they the only phone company that does not?
