How to proceed with a divorce when your spouse won't let go?

It's gotten ugly. I tried to divorce without anyone involved in my life but my man wouldn't listen and let me go..I feel my marriage is over and I want to move on with my life but he won't let me go..now, I found someone I wanted in my life and essentially got caught cheating. I still haven't started the divorce yet but my spouse has made it very ugly for me and this new guy. Should I proceed with intentions of divorce and let the new guy go so he won't get hurt and finish this mess on my own?
Oh, my man also committed adultery 15 yrs ago which I forgave. Not that two wrongs make a right, just had to point that out.

your marriage was over when you cheated on your spouse.
do what you feel is right, his letting go or not has nothing to do with anything.
dump the new guy
and get things straight with your life before adding on another mistake.
it takes approximately 3 plus years to get totally over your spouse through a divorce, give yourself time to heal before picking up another problem you will regret down the road.

Yes, get your side of the tracks cleaned up before the train wreck.
