What do I tell my son about his father having a baby 1 week after our divorce?

I was with my ex for 14 years. When he asked for a divorce out of the blue I was shocked but neither of us had been happy for awhile, so I agreed it was for the best even though we have a 7 year old son. We remained friendly, and even went to the final court date together. He moved out the day the divorce was final, I thought to his father's house. I found out a few days later that he moved in with his secretary who just had his baby. This woman was a friend of mine and my son knows her. I stopped being friends with her because of some of the things she did which were very much like the woman from Hand That Rocks The Cradle. Now I know my intuition on this woman was right. I want my son to know his sister but I don't think it will be emotionally healthy for him to be around this woman. He doesn't fully understand why Dad is not around as much to begin with and now to see him with this woman I feel would be to much, especially since the woman isn't emotionally sound. Any suggestions?

Your son is only 7 yrs old. Will he even ask about the baby being born a week after your divorce? If not, why go into it?

if you feel that your 7 yr. old would be ok being around the new lil sibling, then heres a great suggestion. See i your ex could bring the new baby to a mutual setting, (a park, mcdonalds, library) without the new mommy, this way this will give you no harmed feelings of the baby being in yur space, but this will give yur ex and your boy a great chance to have time with the baby. goodluck
