I feel like I missed out on all the fun stuff i wanted to do and never

did because of my marriage?
i dedicated all of my last 16 years to my kids and family and I feel like I really didn't have enough fun in my life, I love to go clubbing and dancing and drinking and doing fun stuff at the beach and ....the list goes on, but my husband is 10 years older than me and we just don't have similar interests, I like to go camping and fishing, going on long road trips and cruise ships -- my hb ges motion sickness 30 secs after we leave the house...I feel like I compromised too much and didn't enjoy myself all these years and now find myself 40 years old and still very pretty and slim and sexy but he keeps telling me that he is too old to talk like that, well I just don't know what to do, should I go and have fun by myself?

You had plenty of time before to select the best husband you wanted. And you knew he was older than you, it is not that he changed what you used to like.

Respect his feelings but most of all respect your kid. He should mean a lot more than wanting to go clubing.

Get some girlfriends together and have occasional girls-night-out events! Your husband shouldn't have any problems with this, except if he's the jealous type (I don't know if he is or not.)

If you have tried finding fun things for both of you to do together, but he usually doesn't want to, then that doesn't mean you didn't try. You shouldn't have to sacrifice fun times because your husband doesn't want to go out and do anything.

Just make sure your husband is okay with you going out without him; maybe he'll realize how much fun you're having and it'll motiviate him to go out with you!

You decided to marry, that was your choice. You can still do fun stuff, you can go out by yourself and do what you missed. You of course cannot go out and date others but you can still have fun.

What kinds of fun are you talking about?

You can still have fun and enjoy life. If the husband does not like what you do go with someone else. Take a girls trip and go out with friends. My husband goes on his hunting trip with the guys and I am getting ready to start taking a yearly trip with the girls. No men and no kids. I cannot wait. You are never too old to have fun.

Take time out for yourself. Do things now that make you happy. What seemed enjoyable in the past, may not fit your lifestyle now or be much fun for you. Write a list of things you did not get to do that would make you happy and see if you are able to execute any of those things.
