Should you date a separated man soon to be divorced?

at my brothers party i was introduced to his ex next door neighbour who has split from his wife (he no longer lives at the house, he has his own place and they have been there) he has also signed over a financial settlement. His soon to be ex has already thrown out the bed and has a new partner!
As you can imagine i am jittery about this and about to out on a date with him! My brother and his wife are happy for this to happen...but why do i feel apprehensive?

Because, to a LOT of men, the word "separated" is a code word for "I want to sleep with as many women as possible before I go back to my wife". If I were you, I'd wait until he's divorced. What if you really fall for him and then he decides to "work things out" with his wife?

Get in there, we all make mistakes with relationships, unfortunately some people marry the mistake. Don't hold it against him.

Because you know he has 'baggage'. Just give it a shot. It is just a date. He is probably nervous too. You never know you might have fun.
