| Are marriages in India and Bangladesh more about sex and money? Arranged marriages are based upon social class and class is more important for the man then the woman. Many times there is a big age differences between the man and woman. I knew about a young women who was 20 who married into a higher class Bengali family and had a baby. The women born into that family would not have a baby because the where working on getting there master's degrees and moving up in the world. I think that is mess up and they try to pretend it is okay. People always complain about Americas morality (divorce rate, family breakdown) but India and Bangladesh many times prostitutionalized marriage.      |
