Why do people divorce if they really do love each other?

I am just wondering why the divorce rate in America is so high. Is it stress or that people just don't love each other anymore or is it committment? The divorce rate is so high here and yet America is a dveloped country but the rate is 50% or more. I took a trip to China reacently and the divorce rate was only 5%-10% but they said as more foreigners come there then the divorce rate is increasing. Why? Why do you think this trend is happening? I just got married and have been married for close to 2 years now. I've been taught not to believe in divorce when you get married or else don't get married in the first place. Then why is the divorce rate so high in my family and elsewhere around the country? What are contributing to these high numbers? Any ideas or suggestions and what do you think people can do to alleviate this growing trend?
