...divorce. someone please help! It was something my parents really forced upon me and I have been stuck in for a few years now. The girl and I never even talk or spend anytime together. She doesn't want to be with me anymore and I don't wanna be with her. I need advice on what I need to do and how I got about getting a divorce. I just want to live my life and be happy. I've tried doing what my parents want but I live in the United States. I'm American not Pakistani this is where I grew up and where I'll stay. I just want to be happy.

I am not sure i understand your question? What do you mean "How to get divorce".? This is what both of you want....right? How about divorce lower or court? Your happiness is in your hands.Take control of your life.

You can get a no-fault divorce in most states. Both spouses agree to the divorce and have no battles about dividing up your stuff or custody of the children.

Then you will file for divorce and it will be final in 6 months. A divorce attorney for a no-fault divorce costs about 500.00. If there is trouble in the divorce or fighting the cost can go much higher.

So keep it peaceful, you both want out, make your plans before the divorce how to divide up everything you have and child custody if you have children. Your lawyer will make the paperwork and put all of that in there to give to the judge who will agree with it.

Well technically a marriage in another country is not recognizable by law here. Unless you've actually submitted papers and have used it to submit taxes for example or property taxes or any other legal notice in this country you might not have to recognize it yourself but then that would be a morals issue! And of course a chance that your wife would show up someday and declare you as a bigamist. Also you can go and have the marriage annulled if you have been separated a certain length of time. I suggest contacting a lawyer on that one. Also if you file for divorce because your unable to contact the other person because they vacated the marriage annulment can be granted! What your usually made to do is file and list the divorce in the news paper for a certain amount of days! If you receive no response usually its granted!
