I been around foreign couples and men most of my life I am telling you they will lie cheat pretend do anything to get out of thier 3rd world country and come to America.Go to immigrate.u2 something like that you will find many women on there that helped thier men and after the papers where done they where history.And of course you will find the women who are still married and conviced what a wonderful husband they have that loves them so much.I don't know what culture your from or he is from but if the is from middle east or indian or pakistan beware!

From the time he got his green card he should be married to you for 3 years to make the green card perminent, if he is married to you more than 3 years, he can get his citizenship. if divorced, he has to wait till it is 5 years before he can become citizen. but you go ahead and do what you need to do.

And don't worry so much to stop that person from getting citizenship but move far away from such a person who uses one to land in a country. That person is no good in the long run.
