what happens during a hearing for uncontested divorce? is actual proof of...

...adultery needed? can the defendant testify during the plaintiff's hearing for uncontested divorce? what kind of questions are posed? is a testimony of adultery enough or do they need actual proof? if so can a cd transcript of another court case where the defendant admits to a relationship with third party serve as proof? will of that be necessary?
