Should I still care for pets left behind in a divorce?

I recently was divorced, and the ex left behind 3 dogs that she wanted. They considered them their "babies", but has not done a thing to find a place that will house them. Instead, they want to visit them whenever it pleases their schedule. I did not want these animals to begin with, but nevertheless, I am doing my best to care for them. I'm figuring out that I am not an "animal person", but I don't want to drop them off at the pound. Can anyone help me with advise of what to do??
