going through a divorce, after my baby is born every other year can i still

claim taxes on her? however i am currently living in ky and she lives in california, would that make a difference?

If you are the parent with custody you can claim the baby every year on your tax return but if you are not you cannot claim the baby unless the mother signs over her right to claim the baby for tax purposes. That would not be in the best interest of the child though.
