What are the reasons so many marriages fail?

From your experiences in life and with friends, why do so many marriages fail. I'm not married, single, I take things very SLOWLY. I learned a lot from my parents mistakes and I like to learn from others because when I meet that guy, well IF I ever meet him, I'd like to make it work.

Anyway, from those who have been married or seen people get married and divorce, why did their marriages fail?
