Is gay marriage affecting society?

I am a straight male attending a four year university and I ran into the interesting and controversial issue of gay marriage. Now many will say that it does not affect their lives so let them get married. But others are concerned about their children.

I respect gay people, I have a few friends that are gay. But I start to lose respect when these people start displaying sexual behavior in parades and in the media. So although it might not affect me right now, since I am completely confident with my sexuality, I fear that it might affect our next generation. Gay people are not made, they recruit and therefore aim at the young teens. Now I understand why people are gay and I am not saying its wrong. But I want to understand why they behave the way they do.

I would like to hear both sides of this without any stupid remarks. If something offends you then defend it with facts and prove that it is wrong thanks for you time.
