is it selfish for me to want a divorce from my cocaine-using husband?

we are currently separated and although he claims he hasn't done cocaine since i left my gut tells me he still does. i desparately want to have a family but will be afraid for a long time to start one with him. is this enough reason to divorce someone?

Yes its a good enough reason to divorce someone .. you'll never trust him enough again .. and starting a family with someone on this drug is scary business .. too many birth defects and too much stress for you.

Do you still love him but are afraid of his addiction? Has he honestly made an effort to get treatment and stop doing drugs? If your answer is "yes" to these two questions, maybe you should try to make your marriage work.
