| The man I love is not understaning my views on waiting until marriage to have sex?
Ok, I have been with him for about a year now. I come from a very strict culture to where the girl has to be a virgin when she weds. Also, I am Catholic. I'm 23 years old, and so is he. I've never been 'sexual' with anyone before because I really have so much respect for myself to wait until I get married. He is also from the same cultural backround as I am, but he's more 'Americanized' and thinks that it's old fashioned. He says that he's 'a guy' and he has his needs and he cannot wait until marriage to have sex. He doesn't understand where I am coming from, & he says that I am stubborn, selfish, and closed-minded. I do show him affection and I told him that if he can't wait, u are'nt the one for me. I will not have some guy freakin get mad or upset at the fact that I want to wait for marriage, love or not! Guys really confuse me because first, if you are not a virgin they think you are a slut. Then if you are, they can't wait. Can someone help me figure this out?
