Have Divorced Parents?

I was wondering how many teens out there have divorced parents or are about to have divorced parents??

My Mom and Step Dad are separated (have been for 2 months now). I am just really worried that my Step Dad is going to screw Mom with the settlement and everything, and therefore in turn screw us kids as well. (I'm pretty sure Mom will get all us kids, she'll get me for sure because I am old enough to choose who I wish to live with.)

Was there a big battle for full or shared custody?? I know there will be a big battle for full custody for my younger Bro and Sis. Mom really wants full custody, not shared because then it's 50/50. And that would be hard on my lil Bro and Sis, living in one home for a week, then going to live in another for the other week and switching back and forth.

I've never been through the whole divorced parents thing before. So I was just curious as to how some situations turn out.

Thanks!!

~Danny
I just want the divorce to go smoothly for my Mom's sake. I want her to be happy, and I know divorcing my Step Dad will make her happy. And truth be told, I am happy they will get divorced... I hate him. But my lil Bro and Sis my Mom had with him, so they're his children. I am not his child nor is my older Bro.

Well I have parents divorced and two step parents. The court will do the whole custidy based on the best interest of the child. This past summer I tried to live with my dad. but my mom is a good mom so it didn't happen. Whatever happens you will be fine. as for your siblings they will most likely get shared parenting. if you don't know what that is it kinda speaks for itself parents share time with the child. so don't count on one parent getting full custody unless one parent is a really bad one like if he or she does drugs or some other crap like that.

Your mom is probably going to have full custody of you and your step-dad is probably going to have visitation on the weekends.

Thats what my parents had to do.

-hope that helps (=
