Why is the divorce rate higher amongst Christians than non-Christians?

They say -

"What God has put together, let no man put asunder"

So, if God put those people together, and God is all powerful you would think the divorce rate amongst Christians would be virtually nil.

Why does god not ensure your marriages last?
