What's your opinion on Same Sex Marriage?

I have to do a research project on Same Sex Marriage, on why it should be legal/illegal. And I need opinions, quotes, real facts, stuff like that. If you have any input on this, please reply.

I have seen same sex couples both males and females. My preference is heterosexual. I think its obvious there will be same sex couples always. they need to be recognize by constitutional amendment. since this isn't really a states right issue. It is not at issue as to weather heterosexual relationships are better but weather same sex relationships should be recognize by society and protected. Once having granted rights under a constitutional amendment then their coupling is under the same laws not different laws as heterosexuals. I don't believe it could be called marriage , I believe a new word would have to be devised like partnership or perhaps same sex coupling. To call it marriage would alter a certain relationship that has been grounded in history. The relationship of same sex couples should be able to stand on its own merits .
