Divorce question for Christians ,others welcome to answer, should people who have

been divorced spend holidays? together after remarriage?
Why why not scriptures if you have feelings count also!
This not for me was brought up in Bible study my thinking is that since you were one with that other person and now are with another person . Spiritual you are still one with the other person, this is in my opinion a weirdness that the current spouse should not have to experience!
Divorce is a sad fact of life!
I have been Married for 14 years now in commited Marriage I went through divorce as an atheist, My wife and I do and will not do this to each other seems wrong to me!

AFTER A BILL OF DIVORCEMENT AS IN THE BIBLE .

YOU CANNOT BE ONE FLESH ( ANYMORE READ IN OT)

If you spent Holidays as Friends I quess its OK BUT NOT

AS MAN/ WIFE..
FROM OLD TESTAMENT.. APPLIES TO ALL CHRISTIAN LAW.. THE BIBLE IS OT AND NT.
Deuteronomy 24:1-2
1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

WHEN SHE DEPART/ SHE MAY GO AND MARRY/ NOT
BE AS WIFE AGAIN.
2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. (KJV)

IF YOU ARE SPENDING THE HOLIDAYS ( IN DIFFERNT
ABODES) IN THE SAME SITE.. THAT IS FINE AS YOU
ARE THE MOTHER AND THE FATHER/ FOREVER..AND SPENDING TIME TOGETHER AS A FAMILY IT NOT DENIED TO ANY IN BIBLE

NOT IN THE SAME ABODE ( HOME/ DWELLING ETC)

LMAO!!!!

I think it depends on who the people involved feel about it. It is none of my business.

It would be ideal, for the children, if they had their entire extended family together in harmony.

First, christians shouldn't be getting divorced at nearly the rate it is happening today.

But if you're already divorced, then there's no changing the past. If you and your ex can actually get along together, then it might be all right to spend holidays together. But if either of you has remarried there better not be any ex-sex going on.

Real Christianity is not dogmatic, so there is not yes or no answer for this. What is important is that each person is in a right relationship with Christ and only then will they have the ability to decide for themselves what is appropriate.

My parents divorced when I was one. When I was 7 my dad remarried and about 6 months later my mom remarried. My parents stayed friends and my step parents got on well also. We would sometimes spend Christmas together when we went to visit my grandmother. To me is was perfectly normal.
