Because it's not "ethical." But parents in India can force their CHILDREN to marry who their parents approve of and in Africa a man can have more than one wife.... It's completely bizzare and absurd to me. I hate America for this sometimes.

Homosexuals want the right to marry only because marriage would be society’s ultimate stamp of approval on their sexual relationships.

Not to mention that gay marriage has no benefit for society, and in fact will impose substantial costs on society.

Because marriage is a religious ceremony and most religion does not accept gay marriage so it makes sense.
However, if anyone is against civil unions, they're just haters who have nothing better to do with their time than judge others they know nothing about.

Ignorance. Love is very powerful and has no boundaries. Sexual orientation, race, disability or anything can not stop love, only ignorant people try to stop it and always fail.....
