What is so sacred about marriage? Come on all you gay marriage

protesters...enlighten me. What? Im so very tired of seeing the same opening line when it comes to gay marriage.

"marriage is a sacred bond"

People dont even realize the definition of the word or its origins...heres a little factoid for you..

The word "sacred" descends from the Latin sacrum, which referred to the gods or anything in their power. It was generally conceived spatially, as referring to the area around a temple.

So let me also ask you people this...if it is so SACRED then why in has it been altered so much?

In todays world you can have this so called "sacred" act ANNULLED. Annulled means TO OBLITERATE. Oh yes...very sacred.

You have divorce, which goes against the vows you take in this "sacred" event. Divorce means to dissolve a marriage. Oh yes...very sacred.

So lets all preach this sacred event! One which you can dissolve and obliterate with ease. Oh yes...very sacred.

No one has the right to call marriage sacred anymore. Until you practice what you preach..shut it.
Oh and before you start with the "god made adam and eve" crap....

Just because he made a man and a woman FIRST doesnt mean thats the way he wanted it FOREVER.

I can even go SOOO far to say..that god created homosexuals for population control.

Sounds as far fetched as most of the reasons people give about why we shouldnt have gay marriage.
