| Gay Marriage?
What is the logical, legal, non-religious argument against legal recognition of gay marriage, not forcing churches or religious congregations to marry gay people but recognizing their basic rights as married couples and issuing licenses. Reproductive arguments don't count, there are plenty of heterosexual couples which don't or can't reproduce. Please cite any statistics and sources which compare same sex couples with heterosexual couples which you may use for the sake of your argument. And no, legalizing gay marriage licenses won't put churches under force to marry gay people or face discrimination suits. Churches are private institutions and not public, therefore they can discriminate against gay couples who want to get married in the church so long as it's part of their religious beliefs and it's perfectly legal for them to do so, just like the KKK is a private organization and it is perfectly legal for them to discriminate. I think I made myself clear.
there are a lot of unadopted (unfortunately predominantly black and hispanic) children out there who would do very well in the care of Gay couples since many of them wait to have careers and everything ready before they have children unlike heterosexual couples which sometimes rush it and f^c^k it up.
James O, you know what is also against nature? MONOGAMY!!! marriage was created by humans!!! It is as natural as birthday parties and halloween and funerals.
Also, if you're going to just say that marriage by definition is the union between a man and a woman, then please tell me why is that? Perhaps if you all knew a little bit more about the history of marriage your points wouldn't be so ridiculous.
