| First and foremost, he's my best friend. You need to have a strong friendship in order to have a good relationship. We communicate about EVERYTHING. Any decision we make is a dual decision, and we compromise. We don't bottle our feelings in. If we're pissed about something, we talk about it. As he puts it, if you have a problem that pertains to me......you're going to need MY help to fix it. We have no secrets. I tell him everything and he tells me everything. (This is something we had to LEARN to do.) We keep the bedroom interesting. This keeps us both happy and satisfied. We also learned not to dwell on the little things in life. Life's too short to focus on the bad. Also, we do everything in our power to make eachother smile and laugh everyday. |

| Open communication and trust are key essentials to a healthy marriage. You need to learn each other's love language, which are different ways a spouse feels most loved. Here are the five: 1. Words of Affirmation 2. Physical Touch 3. Receiving Gifts 4. Acts of Service 5. Quality Time I highly recommend Dr. Gary Chapman's "The Five Love Languages." It helped me build a strong, unshakable relationship. Wishing you the best! |
