my aunt had and affair and filed for divorce quickly after being caught...?

my uncle is heartbroken (the have been married 27 years this june) and on top of that has to pay her for half the house, she picks funiture she wants, want uncle to pay all of daughters schooling, among other things and if all is met she won't go after alimony. To me that just doesn't seem fair. My uncle didn't do anything wrong, he just got blind sided a couple of weeks ago when he had a thought of her infidelitly and did some snooping. does anyone know if there is anything that can be done legally so he isn't brought to the cleaners when she is the one that screwed up?

Divorce lawyer - infidelity as a reason for divorce does come in to play when money is divided.

Well, if he could go back in time and have proof of her infidelity, he has a lot better shot in court....

EEwww. Who wants to look at an old lady? Was this guy desperate. Women can really be pigs. The legal system is a disaster when it comes to divorce. Instead of money she should be getting poisoned.

Divorce is "no-fault". So no matter how your aunt acted she is entitled to half of the marital assets. That said, I would not simply give her everything she demands. I would try and work out a reasonable asset split. If she is not reasonable then let the lawyers deal with it.
