wife and myself just separated. question on marriage counceling.?

ok, so my wife came home the other day and said that she wants a separation. wich broke my heart to hear. but i keep trying to get her to stay home with me when she stops by. she says she needs time to think of what she wants. she insists its not me, but i know that i could have done better. tonight i talked to her on the phone, and she wouldnt eaven say she loved me. i want to go to counceling with her, im not sure what to expect, and what someone else can say to save my marriage that i cant? i want to fix this. thanks. anyone have any other suggestions to save my marriage? ive tryed everything i can think of.
