If you have your green card already for more than 5 years you can do your citizenship right away with out your wife help, but if you don't have a green card you need to apply for the I135 and I485 adjustment of status applications, then when they give you the green card you need to wait 3 years and you have to still be married with the American citizen to apply for the Application for Naturalization N-400. Asking that question, makes it sound like you want to get married JUST to get citizenship. That is fraud.

Visit the USCIS website. They have processing times, form and costs all there. As this is the immigration service, only they have the answer you are looking for

It took 4 yrs for my wife to become a citizen. Its depend on the back log and how well you do the paper work.
