| Arranged marriages in America??
My parents told me yesterday that they have arranged a marriage for me, and that it is going to take place in the summer. My parents are from India, and they have arranged a marriage for me to try and preserve our culture...and because in their culture it is a parents right to arrange their childrens marriage. I know legally in America my parents cant force me to get married, but if I dont go through with it they wont shun me, they will just be very dissapointed.
Has anyone else been in this situation? What would you do if you were in this situation??
I last saw the person they want me to marry as a child. My parents knew her parents way back long ago when they lived in India.
