misspriss2 has a spectacular aura about
Texas divorce, moving out, packing up...What are the laws????

I have "tried" to get a divorce 2 times in the past, but both times he convinced me that I could not and would not make it on my own. Well, I have a job now and am getting a nice paycheck on Tuesday. We also got a nice income tax return. I have a plan to leave, but I need opinions and advice.

My plan is to find an apartment on Tuesday. I just have to look at them and pick--I already know what is available and how much, ect. Then, Wednesday morning, I want to withdraw my check (which is direct-deposited), and half of what is in the account.

Then, I want to pull up my U-Haul and start loading up things. I want to take my personal items, items before we were married, and the furniture that is currently in my name and financed. Can he stop me from moving out? Can he stop me from packing these things or taking these things?
Also, we have 2 kids. I will take my 2 year-old, but my daughter has only 2 months of school left and is in school sports. Should I give her a choice to stay for 2 months or just move her too? (I'm moving to the city in which I work, 50 miles away). Can he stop me from doing this too?
